New lower-cost IP65 industrial cable reel added to popular 4000 Series

A NEW lower-cost cable reel with IP65 rating has been added to our Marcaddy range – opening up the popular 4000 Series to installations which are outdoors.

The Ceenorm Group offers cable reel solutions under the Cablecaddy banner – with a range including industrial cable reels, EV extension reels, and balancers offered.

Cablecaddy – a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceenorm – supplies Zeca manufactured products under the popular Marcaddy brand into the UK and Ireland, and some of our more popular cable reels can be supplied same day from stock.

But until now, all IP65-rated cable reels – required for all outdoor installations – have been only available with a more expensive steel and/or aluminium outer casing.

The new addition to the 4000 Series is the 4325-IP65 – which comes with a shock-proof plastic outer casing, and 10m cable, supplied with either a PVC cable.

The new reel allows for 1.9KW (wound) and 2.5KW (unwound) at 230V.

The 4325-IP65 adds to an existing range of IP65-rated reels from Cablecaddy, which includes reels in the 6000 Series (some of the series), the 1400 Series and 1700 Series.

We also offer an extensive range of cable reels with an IP42 rating.

One of the main driving forces behind the adoption of cable reels is health and safety in the workplace. With ceiling and wall-mounted reels available, cable reels mean permanently wired yet flexible power is available, without trip hazards.

From a health and safety point of view, ceiling-mounted cable reels offer ‘drop-down power’ when it’s needed, easily accessible and safe within the workspace.

Cablecaddy offers spring return, retractable, hand-wound and specialist reels for environments including industry, production bays, workshops and car garages, to power lighting and general appliances – avoiding trailing cables across the floor.

Other cable reel options include industrial reels, EV charging reel extension cables, and specialist reels (earthing/grounding). We also offer Combi-Cubes – a range of suspendable multi-socket outlets – as well as a range of balancers.
